Grand Rapids Ophthalmology’s very own David Den Braber, OD was featured in the Ionia Sentinel-Standard for celebrating 25 years in a community he says he loves.
Dr. Den Braber started his career at Ferris State University where he received a scholarship to play football. He was a quarterback for the team for four years. After graduation, he went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from Michigan College of Optometry.
In 1992, he had his first interview in Ionia. It went so well that he was offered a job…and Dr. De Braber has been practicing eye care there ever since.
“I love seeing patients I’ve had for decades. It seems like just yesterday they were children, now they’re parents and I’m examining their kids. They come in and all sit in the exam room and we talk. It’s awesome to see that,” Dr. Den Braber said.
